“The bookplate stamp, or 藏书印, originated in China's Western Han Dynasty. Users would stamp it on their books to indicate ownership. Due to my work, I frequently purchase and lend out books, so I use this stamp to mark my books and distinguish them from others.

This bookplate stamp was one of my 23rd birthday gifts, engraved with the words "拥书百城" ,meaning "possessing a wealth of books." The text and design were custom-made by my friend. Knowing my habit of writing letters and frequent writing, she thought I must have an extensive book collection. She felt this literary gift suited my character, so she had it custom-made and gave it to me on my birthday.”
